Forestry is one of the largest industries in South Australia with Forestry SA managing approximately 64,000 hectares for commercial timber production in the South East of South Australia...which is where the Nangwarry Forestry Museum resides.

Nangwarry is a small timber mill town situated in the heart of the South East.

The museum is run by a group of dedicated and friendly volunteers as a NFP organisation.

The NFM is sponsored by local business and relies heavily on these kind donations.

The museum has been operating and collecting exhibits for over 20 years and we're always on the lookout for item donations to enhance our varied displays.

The Nangwarry Forestry Museum is an iconic legacy to the growing timber industry with its Award Winning displays. This distinctive museum covers all aspects of the timber industry within and around the Limestone Coast and is the only one of its kind in the region.

Other additions that make this unique exhibition a 'must see' include an array of mill machinery and artefacts, historical maps, videos and 1000's of priceless photographs from a bygone era. Allow at least 90 minutes to see it all.
